We're having so much fun getting to know the businesses around us as well as all of our new customers. Everyone has been really welcoming and enthusiastic about us coming into town and hoping that we'll decide to stay permanently.... we'll see......
I will say that this has definitely been a learning experience. I didn't remember how much work it was to set up a store (it's been six long years since setting up the Santa Rosa store!)... even if it's just going to be temporary. I think I was thinking that I would be ok with making it look just good enough, but clearly I forgot who I was dealing with. I've really never been ok with just good enough, no matter how temporary or permanent something may be! So, it took a lot more work than I had anticipated. And I'm unfortunately going to learn all too soon, that it's probably going to be just as much work to undo everything we've done-- to pack up all of the clothes, dismantle the displays, unplug all of the equipment and lift that heavier than heavy counter back into the moving truck! Our last day open, December 26th, will come all too soon! That being said, stay tune for an announcement about our big sale on December 26th....we really want to pack up as little as possible, so that means everything will have to go. Just about everything will be on sale- even some of our great display pieces including our two favorite antique cabinets (Reg. $795, on sale for $495)!

Our pop-up store in Petaluma, Cupcake to Go, officially opened on Black Friday. Cupcake Sarah and I were on hand to greet customers and introduce them to our new concept. While many customers had been into our store in Santa Rosa and were already familiar with all our great children's and maternity clothing, some had not, so we had a great time introducing ourselves and the lines we chose to feature in Petaluma.
