Their newest collection Barcelona beach includes many of the favorite styles that make our top ten lists on a regular basis, so our Tea loving customers can be sure they'll love it!
To many it may seem pretty simple to understand the love our customers have for this brand, but as the saying goes there is always more to what meets the eye. So with this being said, I think it is always interesting to see where one's interest in something stems from so I went straight to the seed for all you Daily Tea loving customers.
To start from any beginning I think it is always proper to introduce yourself, so let's start with why they call themselves Tea? They chose to call their brand Tea because "It is the drink, that is shared in nearly every culture around the world--offering inspiration, warmth and mindfulness." With this being said it is easy to see why their tag line is "For little citizens of the world." The inspiration of Tea started through the vision of Emily Meyer, the chief creative officer and co-founder. Emily's mother introduced Emily and her sister to the languages, arts and cultures around the world.
When it was time for her to pursue her dreams she went to Design school in New York, and eventually worked with many well known designers. The only thing that seemed to be lacking was one of her biggest passions; her powerful vision of globally influenced and inspired clothing for children--and so began Tea. Tea has summarized this inspiration perfectly; "We want to bring the beauty found in cultures around the world into the lives and homes of families in our own backyard. We believe that if the foreign is familiar - it is no longer foreign. It helps us remember that we all more alike than we are different."
For every new Tea collection you see in our store, know that a lot of creative thinking and hard work went into it. Each season Tea sends their design team to a new global region of the world to find inspiration. They create these collections by applying the colors, textiles and even some silhouettes from these regions. Their newest collection, Barcelona Beach was inspired by the laid back setting of the Barcelona beach and its surrounding architectures, and will soon be available at Cupcake! The character sketches and designs were inspired by their culture, along with the architecture and artists that also had much to do with the inspiration used to create this collection.
With all the inspiration Tea uses to create their brand, we hope you are just as inspired to check out their newest collection, along with some of their past ones here at Cupcake!
