About Us
As the owners of Cupcake, husband and wife business partners Jenny Romeyn-Ramhormozi and Ramin Ramhormozi have merged the passion for design and fashion with retail business saavy and technical know-how.
Born into a world of creativity, Jenny's desire to become a designer goes back as far as she remembers. Following her aspirations, Jenny attended Arizona State University's College of Architecture and since graduating has worked as a residential interior designer, home furnishings visual merchandiser and wardrobe stylist. Realizing she could combine her love of children and passion for design, she designed and produced a line of hand-painted nursery accessories through Jenny Jump-up Designs.
Ramin has been in the retail industry for most of his career, including various positions with retail stores, launching an online grooms magazine which included a groom/groomsman gift shop and heading Modern Bride Magazine's E-commerce Division. In 2002 he took his experience in retail and combined with his passion for business and technology launched Shopping Stand, Inc., an e-commerce company which included both an online wedding and groomsman gift shop. Since it's inception, the business has continued to grow with the addition of other unique stores focused in the gift and accessories market.
Having relocated from hip Los Angeles, Jenny and Ramin saw that not only did Santa Rosa, California lack a trendy baby boutique, but that baby boutiques in general lacked the unique style and creativity that many of the women's clothing and home furnishings stores, such as Jenny's favorite store Anthropologie, possess. Armed with the desire for creating a beautiful and imaginative shopping environment as well as a hard to find selection of unique and trendy items, the couple bought an existing baby boutique and transformed it into Cupcake, a boutique for the trendy tot.
The charming boutique has been an instant success. With the latest styles by Kingsley, Mimi and Maggie, Petunia Pickle Bottom, Joe's Jeans, Beetlejuice and more, Sonoma County shoppers no longer have to drive to San Francisco for trendy children's fashion! And to satisfy the cravings for those not able to come into the boutique, online shopping is also available at ShopCupcake.com.
Together they plan to expand their desire to bring unique stores, with quality merchandise and fantastic customer service to both the online and physical worlds.
