It's confirmed! Rebecca Romijn finally gave birth to her two precious fraternal twin girls on December 28, 2008! Although she was due in January, my guess is those girls were getting a little crowded in there and decided it was time to make their debut. Rebecca and husband Jerry O'Connell named the girls Dolly Rebecca Rose O'Connell and Charlie Tamara Tulip O'Connell. Dolly is named after the great country singer Dolly Parton (although I have no idea what the relationship is- maybe just pure adoration?) and Charlie is named after Jerry O'Connell's brother Charlie. While both of the girls have multiple middle names, Tamara is after Rebecca's sister and Rebecca, well I guess that one's obvious. Rose and Tulip... favorite flowers? A gardener in the family? The flowers Jerry gave to Rebecca on their first date?
Both the babies and the parents are at home resting...well not really resting because apparently Dolly and Charlie are waking up every three hours, but at least laying low. Can you really say that any parents of newborns, especially when there are two are "resting"? My guess is no. Now we just have to wait to see which magazine will get the first snapshot of the happy family so the world can see these two little beauties.

Oh, and as a little aside, I thought this video was pretty funny... apparently Rebecca and Jerry were busy making home movies while waiting for the babies to come!
